Having about 35 years of job and business experience in the industrial sector as an Engineer. Travelled extensively to South Africa, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. During this period dealt with business correspondence, business communication, business discussions, business meetings etc., in ENGLISH Language. I have done my studies with English medium only in school and university.
Though, a Mechanical Engineer by profession intended to become a teacher. I believe that the this position as an ELT tutor offers me an excellent opportunity to put my knowledge into practice and become a member of the academic world who offers solutions to the community I live in. I see this position as a professional stepping stone in my life. My ultimate goal is to give something back to the community that has invested in me so much. Thousands of languages are spoken on this planet earth which can be divided into Continental, Country, Regional, Area and Tribal languages. These languages are used by the people of that part of earth for communication, exchange of views and expressions. But these languages are confined to that particular region/area only and could not bring the world on one Single platform.
English, as a universal language, has brought the world closer. It has made possible for the people of different continents and countries having different dialects, cultures, to come on a single platform to perform their activities and understand each other. It has made possible the communication among the people of different languages. Not long ago, English was spoken by very a few people and was known as the language of classes. But as the world came closer day by day the need for its learning by more and more people was felt. Now it has become the language of need for the masses and most people started learning this language and the process is still continued. This ignited the fire within me to opt for this profession, to act a TEFL Teacher
